    First you need to prepare citrus fruits: wash the oranges and put them in the freezer for at least 12 hours.

    To prepare the drink, remove the citrus fruits, slightly defrost and grind in a blender. Add the juice of 1 lemon.

    Pour the citrus mixture with 2 liters of cool drinking water, mix thoroughly and let it brew for 15-25 minutes.

    Add sugar, as well as citric acid, then pour in another 2 liters of water. Stir. Let stand 15 minutes.

    Now carefully strain the resulting juice into a prepared container (for example, into jugs or bottles).

    Ready! Store in the refrigerator. This cocktail will taste like an orange soda.

How to make a Citrus Lemonade Orange and Lemon Drink

Refreshing lemonade is especially useful on a hot summer day. It is prepared from 3 types of citrus fruits, which creates an interesting combination of flavors.

Ingredients:

    Large oranges 2 pcs.

    Lemons 2 pcs.

    Limes 2 pcs.

    Fresh mint 1 bunch

    Sugar 100 gr

    Chilled drinking water 3 l

Cooking method

    Gently peel the zest of citrus fruits - we will also use this to make a drink from lemons and oranges.

    Juice the fruit.

    Pour the zest and juice with 3 liters of hot water. Bring to a boil, add sugar, stir. By the way, you can also use honey instead of sugar.

    Suck the lemonade at room temperature. When it's completely cooled, add the grated mint. Refrigerate. Serve over ice!

Such a drink will differ from the classic drink in color and aroma, but its taste may be even more interesting than that of water with lemon. Now we will tell you how to make orange lemonade according to different recipes.

Peel lemonade

Don't throw away the orange peels - they make a wonderful refreshing drink:

  1. In a 3 L jar, fold the peels from four large oranges and pour boiling water over them.
  2. Soak the crusts in water for 24 hours and then mince them.
  3. Put the resulting mass again in a jar with the same water and leave for another couple of hours.
  4. Strain the drink through a fine metal sieve and add citric acid (1 dessert spoon) and sugar (100 g) to the resulting orange liquid.
  5. Pour the drink into a large pitcher and refrigerate.

Whole Fruit Lemonade

The good thing about this recipe is that just four large oranges can make nine liters of a refreshing drink.

  1. Wash the oranges with hot water, wipe off with a napkin, lay them on the table and roll them with your hands. Press down hard on the oranges so that they feel soft to the touch without cracking the skin. This treatment is needed so that a lot of juice forms inside.
  2. Slice oranges straight with the skin into random pieces. If you come across bones, remove them.
  3. Place the chopped oranges in a blender bowl and blend until smooth.
  4. Pour in orange puree cold water and leave for 30 minutes to infuse.
  5. Put cheesecloth folded in several layers in a large colander and fold the thick mass onto it. Remember to place a deep bowl under the colander.
  6. When the liquid drains, squeeze out the remaining juice from the remaining orange gruel through cheesecloth.
  7. Pour the resulting concentrate with water to a volume of 9 liters and add sugar and citric acid to taste.


Orange lemonade with mint flavor

For the next drink, you will need more fresh mint. The taste of such a drink will be so bright and exotic that absolutely everyone will like it:

  1. Cut 2 large oranges in half and squeeze out the juice using the hand citrus tool.
  2. Cut the remaining crusts into slices and pour in 100 ml of boiling water so that they give off their aroma.
  3. Boil 2.4 liters of water in a saucepan and add the liquid crusts and a bunch of fresh mint.
  4. Bring to a boil and add 0.5 cups of sugar.
  5. Let the drink simmer until the sugar dissolves.
  6. Set aside from heat and strain to remove mint leaves and boiled crusts.
  7. When the drink cools down, pour the previously squeezed into it Orange juice and, if available, 50 ml lemon juice... If there is no lemon, add citric acid to taste.


Frozen orange lemonade

Another recipe that uses frozen oranges. Due to the fact that the fruits are completely frozen and then thawed, almost twice as much juice is formed in them than in ordinary fresh fruits:

  1. Place 2 oranges in the freezer overnight.
  2. Let the oranges thaw a little in the morning so they can be chopped with a knife.
  3. Grind the oranges with the skin, removing any seeds that come across.
  4. Pour the orange mass with cold filtered water (2 liters) and let it brew for half an hour.
  5. Add sugar (350 g) and citric acid (15 g) and stir well.
  6. After an hour, strain the drink through cheesecloth and pour another 2 liters of cold drinking water into it.

If at the end you add soda water to the lemonade, you get a drink reminiscent of Fanta. It is not recommended to store frozen oranges lemonade for a long time, because it is prepared on the basis of raw water.


Whichever recipe you make for homemade lemonade, wash citrus fruits thoroughly with hot water and a brush. Oranges, lemons, limes and tangerines usually come to our country from exotic countries. In order for them to endure long transportation, they are treated from above with special wax-based preservatives. If not removed, the lemonade will acquire its characteristic technical flavor.
