Do-it-yourself grill house: Finnish gazebo, drawings. How to build a Finnish grill house with your own hands Grill house with your own hands drawings

Every cottage owner dreams of a convenient and multifunctional grill that will allow not only cooking various dishes on an open fire, but also smoking meat, fish, poultry, homemade sausages. You can make a small brick, stone, metal grill or a roomy grill house with your own hands if you make some effort and purchase the necessary materials and tools.

Grill - general design device

By its design, the grill resembles a box with a lid, which is made of heat-resistant materials, such as concrete blocks, refractory bricks, as well as stone or metal. The shape of the grill is a deep frying “barrel”, which ensures perfect roasting of products from all sides due to the maximum temperature of the coals. The lower part is for fuel, and the upper one is for laying products. Openings with dampers are provided in the bottom and cover of the device case, which serve to regulate the flow of air that enters inside. But there are other types of grill: gas and electric, which do not need a chimney and solid fuel.

Device Height

The installation height of the grill can be determined based on the comfort of use, as well as safety measures. Lattices are established on height, convenient for the person. If it is a brick structure, then they should be at a height of approximately the 10th brickwork from ground level. If the grates are located higher, food will be inconvenient to cook, and close proximity of coals to the face can lead to burns.

In standard devices, the coal tray, together with the grates, rests on brick ledges or special metal rods that are installed in the masonry. Also, in the design of the grill attachment, it is necessary to provide for the possibility of quickly removing these additional elements, which are dismantled for the winter. This will help protect metal parts from corrosion.

Additional grill equipment and its design

In the design of the grill, it is necessary to make the right draft so that the smoke does not go into the room, but goes out into the chimney pipe. When planning the design of the grill, you will need a drawing of work surfaces and additional shelves.

It is necessary to determine the place where the plates and the supply of coal will be located. You can store brushes, tongs, spatulas and other utensils on hooks mounted on the side wall of the grill.

The design characteristics of the grill provide a thermal effect and smoke impregnation of dishes, as well as their smoking.

Such a device additionally serves as a smokehouse, therefore it has a more complex design.

How is it different from barbecue and barbecue

With the onset of summer, we go to the country to relax, work and eat delicious shish kebabs and smoked fish. Cooking food can be very simple if you have a grill, barbecue or barbecue at hand. Consider how these devices differ from each other and how they are similar.

  1. The brazier looks like a metal rectangular box with high legs. Products (meat, fish, vegetables) are pierced on skewers and placed on the grill parallel to each other. Food is prepared with smoldering coals. To improve traction during cooking and provide the grill with a better air supply, you need to periodically fan the coals. The advantage of the brazier is its ease of use and low price.
  2. The barbecue is a more complex and advanced design, as manufacturers often upgrade it with numerous features. In the device, you can bake pies, heat up dishes, smoke, stew and fry. There are gas, electric and coal. In a barbecue, food is cooked on a grill.
  3. The grill has no obvious differences in design from the barbecue, and some see them as identical. Although there is still one difference - this is the presence of a lid on the grill (thermal action occurs from all sides), so the products in it are cooked more evenly. Also, the lid of the device makes it possible to impregnate dishes with smoke. The main element is a grill with wire and wooden handles that allow you to firmly hold the products during their preparation.

Preparation for the construction of the grill: construction drawings, dimensions

The process of building a grill will require a lot of responsibility. The first step is to decide on the design of the grill and its dimensions.

At the moment, there are a huge number of modern PC programs that allow you to create a design model in 3D. Therefore, if you have basic skills in working with programs, then use them. If there are no such opportunities, then the project can be drawn up on plain paper.

The design must take into account the most important design requirements. The optimal dimensions of the grill can be as follows:

The choice and amount of material for building a grill with your own hands

The grill can be built from various materials, depending on the dimensions of the structure and its type (portable or stationary). Let's take a look at a few grill options that are currently the most popular.

The grill can be equipped from a gas cylinder:

A brick grill will require additional skills during installation, but it has several advantages:

Grill house

The Finnish grill house is the most convenient and comfortable device for giving with a large plot.

To build such a structure, we need:

  • insulation (may be made of mineral wool);
  • quality lining;
  • door and double-glazed windows;
  • washers with nuts according to the size of the holes;
  • polyurethane foam (several cylinders);
  • chimney, as well as a smoke collector;
  • gravel medium in size;
  • river sand (preferably not washed);
  • any curbstone;
  • small paving slabs (if the floor is not wooden);
  • crushed stone;
  • OSB board (preferably waterproof);
  • plastic pipe with a diameter of 18 cm for blowing;
  • "Pinotex" - a special tool designed for processing wood;
  • edged board for the manufacture of the roof frame 50x100 mm;
  • timber with a section of 80x80 mm, 1.5 meters long and 100x100 mm, 2.5 m long - 6 pieces;
  • tiles (bituminous, soft, natural) for roofing or metal tiles;
  • windproof film;
  • additional elements for decorating the building.

Stages of building a grill house with your own hands

The Finnish grill house is a whole complex of a hexagonal shape with a pyramidal elongated roof, as well as a common closed structure.

  1. To begin with, we select a round-shaped platform and remove part of the soil from it with all the existing roots of plants and trees.
  2. We fill the site sequentially with three layers of materials: crushed stone, the next layer is sand and the final one is fine gravel.
  3. We lay in advance a plastic pipe designed for blowing.
  4. Tamp all layers tightly and begin reinforcing the concrete screed. We leave a place in the center where the pipe will be laid in the shape of the letter "P".

    It is necessary to determine the functional purpose of the summer cottage immediately before the start of construction

  5. We equip a slatted floor made of wood or paving slabs. Along the edges of the inner perimeter of the house, we install a curbstone for additional security.
  6. The next type of work is the manufacture of the frame. To do this, we install six support beams with a section of 100x100 mm and a length of 2.5 meters.
  7. Next, we perform a horizontal connection of the main beams using 80x80 bars 1.5 meters long. We repeat this connection in 3 places: first from below, then in the middle and from above. After such actions, we carefully measure the angle between the elements that were fixed with a square. Optimally, each corner should have 60 degrees (a deviation of 1 or 2 degrees is allowed). Next, you need to fasten the bars: using an electric drill, we make holes, and then insert self-tapping screws and metal corners into them.
  8. Assembling the roof frame. We use prepared boards with a section of 50x100 mm. The finished base of the structure should have 6 identical corners. And the inner diameter is fully consistent with the pipe of the device. We use an edged board with an identical section as a roof connection.
  9. We insulate the roof with mineral wool, and put a windproof film on top. We make a roof from a natural or soft tile. You can use reeds or straw mats for roofing.
  10. We sheathe the entire structure inside with clapboard or other facing lumber, and outside with moisture-resistant OSB boards and decorative wooden panels (siding, wooden boards or clapboard for outdoor work).
  11. The middle layer between the walls is insulated with mineral wool or other heat-insulating material.
  12. We insert wooden or metal-plastic windows and doors.
  13. The surface of the house (if it is wooden) is treated with glazing flame retardants, which will protect the structure from rotting, mold and bark beetles.
  14. We sheathe the ceiling with clapboard. Leave a hole for the chimney in the center of the house as shown in the photo.

In the center we install a Finnish grill, which can be bought at a specialized store.

Finnish grill can be built with your own hands. Since the brick grill is a lightweight structure, we need a small foundation. We prepare the following materials:

  • brick of the highest grade refractory and facing;
  • fireclay brick for the firebox;
  • cement for the foundation (you can grade 100);
  • river sand for mortar;
  • gravel;
  • formwork boards;
  • roofing felt or tar for insulation;
  • foundation reinforcement.

Tools:

  • rubber mallet;
  • trowel and a set of tools for laying the finished mortar;
  • plumb and level for measuring the horizontal and vertical walls;
  • template for a semicircular arch;
  • grinder with diamond cutting discs and grinding wheels;
  • saw for cutting bricks.

Stages of building a Finnish grill

We build a Finnish grill on our own:

  1. We mark the foundation using pegs and twine.
  2. We dig a hole in the center of the gazebo, but leave a small margin 5 cm wide and 30 cm deep.
  3. We fill the bottom with slag and carefully ram it.
  4. We equip the formwork around the entire perimeter of the grill, and inside we place reinforcing metal.
  5. We knead the concrete and pour it into the formwork, after which we wait a day for it to harden.
  6. We make a screed, let it dry, and lay roofing felt or other waterproofing material on top.
  7. We determine the shape and size of the openings for the grill. Corners are needed for rectangular openings that will serve as lintels. For the arched vault, a wooden template is made.
  8. On the frozen mortar, we make laying in half a brick, leaving openings. Their height should be 60 cm if the opening is arched (with a rectangular 80 cm). We put a brick with strapping around the entire perimeter so that the height of the grill is about 1 meter.
  9. The second brick tier includes the walls of the grill and its firebox, which are made in half a brick.
  10. For the device of the furnace, we take a brick of several types. We lay out the bottom of the grill and the inside with refractory material, and we make the outer masonry out of ordinary white or red brick. The result should be 2 rows. The furnace should be the height of the opening in 7 brick rows. The laying of a rectangular arch involves about 9 rows. The element is 60 cm deep and 70 cm wide.
  11. We lay out about three rows of bricks above the opening. Then we make a pipe, which is a narrower element, which means that there is a need to reduce all sides of the firebox. The subsequent rows for all walls are reduced by 1⁄4 of the length of the brick, for the side rows it will be half the width of the brick. In this way, lay out 7 rows and form a narrow pipe.
  12. Next, 14 rows are laid out only straight.
  13. All masonry should stand for several days until the cement mortar has completely dried.
  14. We install wide benches along the wall, which can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people.

How to make your own smoker grill

A steam locomotive or grill smoker is a multifunctional, but complex design that combines a barbecue, smokehouse and barbecue. But even such a seeming, at first glance, complex device can be made by hand.

For the manufacture of a smoker grill, we need such materials and tools

  • barrel;
  • loops;
  • bolts;
  • nuts;
  • wood handle;
  • metal pipe or corner;
  • wooden lining, WPC or processed boards;
  • gratings;
  • welding machine;
  • Bulgarian.

Steps for making a smoker grill

If you are using an old barrel, properly season it before cooking the food for the first time.

  1. We cut the barrel into two parts along with the help of a grinder. Since they will turn out to be the same, one of them will become a container for fuel, and the second will become the upper part.
  2. We connect the base of the structure and the cover with two hinges using bolts. The hole is drilled with a drill.
  3. We fix the wooden handle to the lid with a bolt tie. Its length should be no more than 50 cm, and we will adjust the distance between the base and the handle with a few nuts.
  4. We make a bed: its length should be approximately 30 cm longer than the barrel itself, height 80 cm, width less than the diameter of the barrel by 5 cm. We fasten the bed elements with bolts and nuts. In this case, you can use a welding machine.
  5. After the metal frame was made, we install the already made barrel on top and make wooden countertops around it.
  6. Next, we take 2 lattices of different sizes. We put the smaller one on the bottom of the grill, as it is intended for fuel, and we put the second one above the coals from above - products will be laid out on it. We make stops for it with the help of thick bolts, which we screw around the entire perimeter of the grill.
  7. Smoker grill is ready. You can make a multi-level option. To do this, you need to take another barrel, only of a smaller size, which will serve as kindling for coals and weld it to the main barrel, just a little lower (the principle of the stairs). The rest of the device is done in the same way as described above.

Any type of grill will decorate your site and a place to relax. A self-built grill house will serve you for many years if you followed all the steps of its assembly exactly and followed all safety measures. With proper care, regular treatment of all wooden elements of the house with antiseptic agents, when updating the varnish coating, as well as cleaning the grill and chimney, this design will last for decades and you will be able to gather with the whole family even on cold winter days around the fire and cook your favorite dishes , as well as treat them to your friends and acquaintances.

Cooking meat on coals inside the gazebo - is this an interesting idea for a summer residence? How many similar structures with a grill equipped inside have you seen with your acquaintances and friends?

The approach to relaxing indoors with an open fire takes its history from the territory of Finland, where in ancient times people built houses and warmed themselves by the hearth indoors. In modern times, the name of such closed gazebos has remained the same - “Finnish houses”.

Grill gazebo or Finnish house- a closed gazebo with a hearth and a chimney in the center, inside which you can simultaneously relax with a company of people and cook meat on an open fire.

In this publication, interesting photographs of gazebos with a grill were collected, which can be installed in your summer cottage. Thanks to a simple design and a proven assembly system, you will not have any difficulties with the construction or its installation - a team of professionals can always help you.

In addition, I would like to voice some prices for Finnish grill houses, because this issue is quite relevant among those interested in such facilities.

You always want to start with the simplest buildings of the "economy" class, since in most cases they are quite enough for a comfortable family vacation or gatherings of a small group of people.

All buildings are distinguished by a pleasant aesthetic appearance and modern design - the materials used, although cheap in most cases, are at least beautiful. Therefore, it will be easy to impress your guests.

The design of the benches allows you to be both away from the fire and close - part of the bench is folded. If you wish, you can even lie down if the number of people inside the room allows.

A standard grill gazebo is designed for a group of 6 people, but it is comfortable to eat for 4 people, and 8 people can sit indoors without any problems. In this regard, the design is quite flexible and allows you to meet the needs of both small and large groups of people.

More expensive, more expensive

Unlike classic gazebos, Finnish gazebos differ from each other only in size and some zest in terms of design.

If an ordinary building, depending on the price tag, can be transformed for an arbitrarily long time and dramatically, then the grill is lagging behind in this regard.

The external shape rarely differs from the classic hexagonal one, but this example (the photo is presented above) shows that this building can be finalized.

The building looks spectacular, although apart from the roof, no expensive building materials are used here.

Several options for giving are given in the slider below (photos can be switched).

I didn’t find any more unique and original solutions, in the catalog of construction companies you can see some branded options that they offer specifically.

How much do Finnish grill gazebos cost

Prices start from 200 thousand rubles. Depending on the shape and size of the price will increase proportionally. Frankly large grill houses will cost around 450-500 thousand rubles.

The price is about 500 thousand rubles

The presented example is the "most-most" that I have seen:

  • Material: profiled timber.
  • capacity: up to 25 people.
  • Square: about 27 sq. meters.
  • Roof: soft tiles.
  • Structure weight: 500 kg.
  • Foundation: pile-screw or concrete slab;
  • Dimensions: 7 m by 3.7 m, height - 3 m.

Drawing of the classic Finnish form

Below is a drawing of a grill house with dimensions. Perhaps some of the people who are interested in this moment will seem curious, because with its help you can estimate the necessary area for this building.

A summerhouse-grill is a convenient and comfortable place to relax on your site. The design is easy to build with your own hands, and its shape and size depend on the desire of the owner and his financial capabilities. Usually the building is a capital structure with separate areas for recreation and grilling. The article will tell you how to build a grill for a gazebo.

Grill gazebos are a small wooden structure (see), with a high ceiling, large panoramic windows and wide-opening doors.

Features of the grill gazebo are:

  • In shape, these are usually octagonal and hexagonal structures (see).
  • A grill is installed in the center with a tabletop made of wood or natural stone.
  • On it you can quickly and easily cook various meat or fish dishes, bake vegetables, cook soup, make a barbecue.
  • Up to 14 people can comfortably accommodate up to 14 people around the hearth with fire on comfortable benches.
  • Comfort and special coziness are created by soft cushions for benches, original curtains.

And grill houses have one fundamental difference: gazebos for summer cottages with a grill have panoramic windows, and the houses are equipped with only small windows. This feature allows you to use gazebos under the grill from early spring to late autumn.

At the first frost, autumn dampness and spring slush, you can melt the hearth, which will make it possible to quickly heat the entire gazebo, and the spring rays of the sun will complete the creation of comfort in the room. In autumn it is pleasant to gather here with friends, drizzling rain will not spoil the mood, it will be warm and comfortable in the gazebo. But for the winter, gazebos with a grill are not suitable for giving, because of the large windows it will be quite cold in them.

Building a gazebo with a grill stove is a difficult process for a beginner, requiring to take into account many nuances that affect:

  • The beauty of the building.
  • Its functionality.
  • Safety.

Before starting work on the construction of the building, it is necessary to develop a preliminary drawing of a gazebo with a grill indicating all dimensions.

This will allow:

  • Determine the dimensions of the building.
  • Calculate the amount of materials (see).
  • Prepare a correct cost estimate.

Tip: It should be borne in mind that a gazebo with a stove and grill is a rather heavy structure. This requires a qualitative assessment of the composition of the soil, and the life of the furnace directly depends on it.

What are the rules for building a structure

When building a safe, beautiful and functional structure, you must adhere to several important rules.

These include:

  • A do-it-yourself gazebo with a grill should be placed away from power lines and existing gas pipelines. Tall trees and dense shrubs should not be planted nearby.

  • The height of the foundation on which the grill stove for the gazebo will be located should be higher than the level of melt water and precipitation typical for this region. This will extend the life of the furnace by protecting the joints that hold the brickwork together from moisture and getting wet.
  • It is necessary to protect both the foundation of the oven and the entire structure of the grill from moisture. Therefore, a barbecue grill gazebo is performed with a canopy over the stove.
  • When choosing the size of the building, it is necessary to take into account fire safety rules and ensure the comfort of vacationers.
  • People should not be placed very close to open flames. At the same time, the distance from the side of the firebox to a person is taken more than three meters, from all other sides - at least one meter.
  • To prevent the accumulation of moisture that gets inside the gazebo, it is necessary to mount the floors in it with a slope of about two degrees, in the direction from the stove to the outer sides. In this case, moisture will not accumulate near the stove, but will begin to drain along the edges of the building.
  • The dimensions of the structure depend on the level of its functionality.

Tip: When choosing the dimensions of a building, it should be taken into account that the larger they are, the higher the load on it will be, which increases wear. When using several structural functions, for example, a grill, a smokehouse, and others, these devices should be made removable, which will prevent unnecessary load on the structure.

  • During construction, the direction of the winds prevailing in this area should be taken into account. A blank wall should be installed on the leeward side. This will create a more comfortable atmosphere in the room.

How to choose materials

A gazebo with a grill, a barbecue is used with an open fire, which implies certain requirements for the materials used to comply with fire safety.

For the construction of such structures, you can take:

  • Stone (see) or brick. These are the most common materials for building gazebos with barbecues and grills. Such buildings have a fairly high level of fire safety and an attractive appearance, as seen in the photo.

  • Logs or beams of wood. These materials in terms of fire resistance are much inferior to stone. But the advantage of the buildings is the lower price. At the same time, wood is protected from fire by treatment with special flame retardants, and the appearance of such structures is very attractive.
  • Metal(cm. ). If metal structures are made completely forged, they are distinguished by the complexity of assembly and rather high cost. More often used combined options for arbors.

Floors can be made of refractory tiles or flame retardant impregnated wooden boards. One option is to lay paving slabs.

For the construction of a barbecue are used:

  • Furnace heat-resistant brick. It is used for laying out the firebox and chimney.
  • Aerated concrete blocks. From such material the lower base of the furnace, niches for firewood, various additional elements are laid out.

In the manufacture of metal grill parts, the following can be used:

  • Cast iron. This is the best option, resistant to high temperatures, durable and safe for others.
  • Stainless steel with titanium coating.

Tip: You can not take ordinary steel for a barbecue oven. This is due to its instability to the action of high temperature, scale forms on it very quickly, getting into food, it harms human health.

How to build a gazebo-grill

To build a simple gazebo-grill you will need:

  • Bars from wood.
  • A set of nails.
  • Construction glue and other materials for fastening elements.
  • Foundation stands.
  • Ruberoid.
  • Insulation.
  • Cladding material for the roof.

Work instructions:

  • A place is chosen for the location of the gazebo (see). It is better to build it at some distance from a residential building, which will prevent smoke and soot from the grill from entering it. It is advisable to consider the placement of the sun relative to the gazebo. When it is built in the sun, you can get additional heating for the building in the summer. It is better if trees are planted around the gazebo, which will bring additional coolness and shade. The gazebo-grill looks most advantageous on the shore of any reservoir: a lake or a fountain on the site. This will give more freshness and coolness.
  • The ideal option for making a grilled gazebo is wood. To use the gazebo for its intended purpose and in winter, an additional heater is selected to help keep warm in cold weather. In this case, glass wool, polystyrene and other materials are used.
  • The foundation is being made. For such a small structure, a columnar base is usually chosen:
  1. the top layer of soil is removed, which will prevent the accumulation of rainwater under the gazebo;
  2. the contours of the future structure are marked on the site;
  3. according to the markings, posts are installed in increments of about half a meter; they can be made not only from wood. Large stones, bricks, rebar are suitable for this.
  4. roofing material is laid on top of the columns. This protects the base of the structure from moisture.

Tip: When using wooden props, all elements should be treated with special antiseptic solutions, which will keep them durable. The service life after such treatment increases to 15 years.

  • The base of the gazebo is built from wooden bars. They are laid on prepared posts, fastened with nails, glue or other materials. Along the perimeter, vertical base racks are installed, which will be guidelines for the construction of the gazebo.
  • At the top of the gazebo, cuts are made to attach to the overall roof structure.
  • Its base is assembled separately.
  • The roof rises gently.
  • The design is installed in previously prepared vertical cuts.
  • The roof is covered with clapboard, tiles or other materials at the request of the owner.
  • After preparing the frame, the floor and walls are assembled. The floor is laid from the remaining bars, while they are tightly fitted together. The walls can be decorated in any style - make them lattice or completely closed.

After the gazebo is ready, the grill itself is installed.

For this:

  • The installation area of the structure is laid out with non-combustible materials. It could be:
  1. brick;
  2. stone;
  3. steel.
  • The grill is attached.
  • An extract is carried out in a place specially left in the roof.
  • Reliably fixed, treated with materials that prevent fire. It can be metal sheets.

In order for a gazebo with a grill to be built correctly, its project and the detailed process for performing all operations can be selected in the video in this article.

Despite modern technology and well-equipped housing, each person lacks unity with nature, so most city dwellers try to spend their free time outside the metropolis, arranging summer gatherings. To do this, many build a grill house on their land, which is an ideal place for a comfortable stay with the family and meeting friends. Thanks to the unique design, in such a building you can cook any food on an open fire, regardless of weather conditions, since the building is built closed and reliably protects vacationers from wind, nasty rain and even snowstorms.

Description

The grill house is a gazebo that allows you to cook food directly inside the building. The main feature of such a structure is that it can be used both in summer and in winter. Typically, grill houses are built from solid wood in the form of a closed hexagonal structure, which has a door and windows. The foundation of the structure, as a rule, is installed from durable materials. The roof of buildings is made of natural wood, giving it a triangular shape; externally, a chimney is installed on the roof, which is connected to the hearth.

The interior of the so-called Finnish houses is designed in a standard way - in the center of the room there is a universal stove and additional accessories in the form of a smokehouse, a skewer and a barbecue. In addition, for a comfortable pastime, the design is complemented by a tabletop and benches decorated with animal skins or pillows.

The construction of such structures is not particularly difficult. It is quite possible to do it yourself, since all work is carried out similarly to the installation of conventional arbors. If the installation is done correctly, then the grill house will serve not only as an excellent place for cooking, but also heat the room well in winter, creating all the necessary conditions for relaxation.

The main advantages of such buildings include:

  • Possibility to cook grilled meat, fish, potatoes and hot drinks. The unique smell of smoke gives the dishes an exquisite taste that cannot be compared with any restaurant menu.
  • Comfortable conditions for a good rest. To enjoy a live fire and please your loved ones with your culinary masterpieces on the grill, you do not need to leave the premises and make a fire. This is especially true when it is raining or snowing outside.
  • Multifunctionality. Similar designs are often combined with outhouses for the night and baths. Thanks to this, the Finnish house turns into a full-fledged summer housing outside the city.
  • Comfortable layout. From the outside, the cottage building may seem small, but since it has a six or octagonal shape, the rooms inside are spacious.
  • Good air circulation. Despite the fact that the hearth is located inside the buildings, modern ventilation systems provide fresh air.

As for the disadvantages, the only disadvantage of such houses is the high price. But there are many budget projects, thanks to which you can build an economical version of the design.

Projects

The birthplace of the grill house is Finland. Thanks to its convenient design and chic appearance, it has successfully established itself all over the world, and most summer residents dream of such a building on their site. Before you install it, you need to carefully consider the layout and design of the structure. For this, a project is first drawn up, and the type of future gazebo is selected. The structure is most often made in the form of a six-, seven- or octagon. The most popular in projects is the hexagonal shape., as its construction is carried out quickly and is inexpensive.

The heptagonal house is characterized by the presence of asymmetry, thanks to an interesting shape and an additional facet, it can be designed in an original way in any style. As for the octagon, it is chosen for large Finnish gazebos, designed for a family of 6 people. Its installation is costly and time-consuming, since construction requires a lot of materials. But it is worth noting that it is the octagonal gazebo that looks the most attractive and luxurious.

Such a house will be an excellent addition to the landscape design of a summer house located on a spacious plot of land.

To correctly draw the drawings, you must also know the dimensions of the planned structure. A Finnish house is usually made with a diameter of 3 to 5 meters and a height of up to 2.5 meters. When choosing the dimensions of the structure, the following nuances should be taken into account:

  • Number of persons for which the building will be designed. For a family consisting of 4-5 members, it is enough to choose a project with a base diameter of 4 m. If guests will often meet, it is advisable to install a gazebo over 5 m.
  • Arrangement features. Depending on whether the room will be equipped with a barbecue, barbecue or hearth, the area is calculated. In some cases, a stove is simply placed in the center of the building.
  • Availability of additional rooms. Recently, projects with an extension have been popular. Houses with a bathhouse, a sauna and a kitchen are an ideal place to live outside the city, as one building has everything you need for this.
  • Budget. Winter construction of large dimensions will require more expensive building materials, including thermal insulation. As for the summer gazebo, it will cost less.

An important indicator for the project is the material from which the house will be installed. Usually, it is erected from a mini-beam but you can also use a cutting board. The internal layout must be calculated so that the area of \u200b\u200bthe room is divided into two parts: the larger one is intended for the table, and the smaller one is for the recreation area.

Installation

Installing a Finnish house, like any other building, requires a set of appropriate tools and building materials. Therefore, in order to build such a structure from a bar with your own hands, you will need to prepare them in advance. As a rule, this will require a tape measure, an ax, a hammer, a tape measure, an electric drill and self-tapping screws. Installation work will not be particularly difficult if you have assembly instructions and special equipment for laying the foundation at hand.

As for the materials, their choice should be given great attention, otherwise the grill house will turn out to be fragile and will last a short time. For construction you will need:

  • chimney and smoke collector;
  • lining;
  • grill oven;
  • thermal insulation;
  • washers and nuts;
  • Entrance door;
  • medium-grained sand;
  • crushed stone;
  • mounting foam;
  • double-glazed windows;
  • beam;
  • edged board;
  • soft tiles;
  • paving slabs.

First of all, you need to determine the location of the building. Structures are usually installed next to the main house between buildings. Before laying the foundation, the site is marked. To do this, follow these steps:

  • remove the top layer of soil;
  • fill the selected area with sand and gravel;
  • carefully compact the layer of materials and prepare plastic pipes for installation;
  • lay paving slabs and decorate its edges with a curb stone.

Then you can proceed to the manufacture of the frame using support beams with a length of 2.5 m and a cross section of 100 × 100 mm. Six beams are installed vertically and their horizontal connection is made using bars 1.5 m long with a section of 80 × 80 mm. Fastening is done in three places: from below, from above and in the middle. At the same time, it is important to check the angle between the fastened parts, it should be 60. In addition to the main beams, additional bars are also mounted for doors and windows.

The next step will be the installation of the roof. To do this, first assemble its frame from boards with a section of 50 × 100 mm. It is best to choose a hexagonal design, due to which the inner diameter will create a hexagon proportional to the pipe for the hearth. Rafters prepared from edged boards will serve as the basis of the roof. They need to be fixed with metal corners and self-tapping screws.

The casing of the grill house is carried out with OSB boards or other moisture-resistant material. Inside the wall, it is recommended to sheathe the clapboard. When the walls are ready, it is necessary to install doors and windows, which are an indispensable component of Finnish structures. Upon completion of all construction work, a previously acquired hearth is installed in the center of the room and the building is decorated to your taste.

Recently, many summer residents prefer to build grill houses on their garden plots. They fit beautifully into the landscape design of the site and serve as a great place to relax at any time of the year. To make such a design as convenient as possible for pastime, specialists It is recommended to equip it as follows:

  • Complement the building with rooms for spa treatments. Using the heat of the hearth, you can equip a good sauna. So, inside the gazebo there will be not only a place for a dining table, but also a steam room. In addition, it is best to purchase folding benches. If necessary, they will act as a bed.
  • Install ventilation. To do this, barbecue grills must be mounted together with an air outlet pipe with a hole of at least 20 cm. Special patio floorings are provided for grills, they provide excellent air exchange inside the room. The room should also be regularly ventilated.
  • Consider the right layout. Usually, a grill with a chimney and an exhaust hood is placed in the center of the house, and benches are placed along the walls.
  • Construction of Finnish structures can be performed using various types of foundation, the ideal choice is a columnar base, since a gap will form between the ground and the walls and it will not be necessary to mount air vents. In the event that the foundation is chosen in the form of a concrete slab, then pipes for ventilation must be laid in it.

The best place to relax in a summer cottage, regardless of the time of year, is a gazebo. Thanks to this structure, you can have a good time in the company of friends or solitude. Grill houses allow you to even more colorize your pastime in the gazebo with the possibility of cooking.

The construction of an ordinary gazebo, as a rule, does not require particularly complex manipulations during installation. In the case of grill houses, it is necessary to pay great attention to all aspects of construction.

Without careful adherence to the stages of work, there is a high probability of problems in the future. Do not forget that for this type of gazebo you need high-quality protection from fire.

Design features

Grill houses are gazebos that originated in Finland, allowing you to cook right inside the building. A feature of this type of construction is that the room can be equally both winter and summer.

Standard varieties of grill houses are hexagonal in shape and consist of wood.

Outwardly, each such building is a small closed room with a door. In some cases, the design can be equipped with windows of various types.

The base of the building, as a rule, is a strong foundation made of especially high-quality materials.

In the center of each Finnish house there is a kind of stove, most often universal. Some designs may additionally have a barbecue, skewer or smokehouse.

The roof of classic grill houses is a highly raised triangle of wood. On the surface of the roof there is a chimney connected to the hearth of the building.

Construction features

Any kind of grill house can be built with your own hands without the involvement of construction specialists. The main thing is to follow all the recommended rules and safety precautions.

Separately, it is important to note that the grill houses have a strong resemblance to Russian summerhouses in which barbecues or barbecues are installed. However, each Finnish house, unlike gazebos with a hearth, is a building of an exclusively closed type.

When building a grill house with your own hands, all the necessary actions are completely identical to an ordinary gazebo. The only significant difference, as a rule, will be only higher requirements for fire safety.

purpose

The main task for which grill houses are needed is directly cooking both in winter and in summer. In the cold season, in addition to cooking, the flame of the hearth of the gazebo grill allows you to heat the room, thereby creating comfortable conditions for relaxation.

A notable feature of the building is that it accommodates up to 12 people without any problems. In addition, to ensure a comfortable pastime, the grill houses have comfortable benches that can be decorated with pillows or animal skins.

A special countertop is placed around the central hearth of the building. At the same time, the original convenience is preserved in the house.

Notes

It is worth noting that the best, one way or another, is a grill house built by oneself without the help of specialists. Thanks to this approach, you can achieve maximum aesthetic and material satisfaction.

It is also important to consider that for the construction of a gazebo you will need to use high-quality building materials. If any building components do not meet the operational requirements, it will be extremely dangerous to use the building due to the presence of an open source of fire.

Construction

Grill houses, like any other structure, require a set of appropriate building materials and tools. When creating a structure with your own hands, it is extremely important to pay attention to all aspects of construction, from laying the foundation to erecting the roof.

To start building a grill house with your own hands, you need to prepare a number of tools:

  • axe;
  • shovel;
  • roulette;
  • metal corners;
  • screwdriver;
  • square;
  • chisel;
  • hacksaw;
  • hammer;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • electric drill.

Each of the above tools is equally necessary for the construction.

materials

The second important aspect of building a grill gazebo with your own hands is the preparation of building materials. It is worth paying special attention to the selection of materials, since the reliability of the future design depends on this.

The list of required materials includes:

  • Finnish grill-stove on legs (grill for gazebo);
  • door;
  • lining;
  • mineral wool insulation;
  • nuts and washers;
  • smoke collector and chimney;
  • mounting foam;
  • curbstone;
  • sand;
  • gravel;
  • double-glazed windows;
  • paving slabs;
  • crushed stone;
  • plastic tube for blowing with a diameter of 18 cm;
  • OSB waterproof board;
  • pinotex - a special-purpose tool for wood processing;
  • edged board 50x100 mm to create a roof frame;
  • timber 1.5 m long and with a section of 80x80 mm;
  • timber 2.5 m long and 100x100 mm in section (6 pcs.);
  • soft tiles for laying the roof surface;
  • special elements of decoration of the building.

After preparing all of the above building materials, you can safely proceed to construction work.

Location selection

The location of the gazebo with the grill is extremely important. The design should be in a convenient place near the country house. In general, the location should fully predispose to the ability to quickly move between buildings.

It is worth remembering that the chosen place will become the permanent location of the gazebo. In order to move the structure, it will be necessary to completely dismantle the entire building, which, of course, will cause a lot of problems.

markup

Before you start laying the foundation, you need to mark the area to be built. The marking of the place for the gazebo, as a rule, has a rounded shape. This is where the foundation will be laid.

The following procedure should be followed.

  1. On the marked area, you need to remove the top layer of earthen cover.
  2. The entire cleared area should be covered with sand, crushed stone and gravel.
  3. All building materials used are carefully compacted.
  4. A pre-prepared plastic pipe for blowing is laid, after which you need to repeat the previously done steps.
  5. To ensure the greatest safety, it is recommended to cover the entire territory with paving slabs, and place a curb stone along the edges.

Upon completion of the marking work, you can proceed to the next stage of construction.

It is important to take into account that during the active operation of the Finnish house in the winter season, the site should be strengthened with a reinforced cement-concrete screed. On top of such a coating, you need to place a floor tongue.

frame

After the foundation of the future building is completed, it is necessary to erect the frame of the grill house. For these purposes, you need to install 6 support beams with dimensions: length - 2.5 m, section 100x100 mm.

  • above;
  • middle;
  • from below.

After the prescribed actions, it is necessary to carefully measure the angle between the fastened parts with a square. Ideally, the indicator should be equal to 60 degrees.

It is necessary to fasten the bars strictly with the help of special metal corners using self-tapping screws and an electric drill.

After the base is ready, it is worth installing additional bars designed for future windows and doors.

Roof

The first thing that needs to be done to create a high-quality roof is to assemble its frame. For these purposes, you need to use pre-prepared boards with a section of 50x100 mm.

The finished roof frame should have, as a rule, six full angles.

The inner diameter of the formed hexagon must be completely proportional to the pipe from the hearth.

The main connection of the roof with the rest of the building is a rafter made of cut boards of exactly the same section as the entire roof of the grill house.

To ensure the tightest fit of the rafters to the hexagon, their ends should be cut at an angle of 30 degrees.

On each main pillar of the building, as a rule, two buildings should be installed.

The rafters are also fastened with the help of special corners made of metal, self-tapping screws and an electric drill.

It is worth noting that the strength of the building can be increased by using nuts and washers.

To increase the operational capabilities of the finished building, it is necessary to carefully process the wooden coating with pinotex.

sheathing

The cladding of the building, in order to achieve the best result, must be made of a specialized moisture-resistant material - OSB boards. From the inside, it is recommended to sheathe the walls with clapboard.

It is important to note that the color and general concept of the building are completely dependent on the personal preferences of the owner of the summer cottage.

After the walls are made, windows and a door should be installed. It is worth considering that the gazebo grill house has a door with a window, which is an obligatory attribute of Finnish gazebos.

Completion

After completion of construction work on the outer part of the gazebo, a pre-acquired hearth should be installed in the center of the building.

Other interior design, arrangement of elements, etc., completely depends on the personal requirements of the owner.
