Making a photo zone at home with your own hands. Stylish photo zone for a wedding - unusual ideas for its design. And what then is suitable as a prop?

A photo zone is a great opportunity to entertain guests and get great pictures even on a site where there are no beautiful landscapes for a photo shoot. What are the photo zones, and how to make it with your own hands - our article will tell.

Classic

The classic is especially popular with couples: a plywood wall decorated with large frames in which guests can take pictures. This is a fairly simple, but nevertheless, fun and convenient option. Such a photo zone is supplemented with various paraphernalia - mustaches, lips, funny glasses and wigs: inscriptions and letters, clouds with phrases and empty ones to write them yourself. Such a photo zone easily moves from one part of the wedding venue to another in a matter of minutes. The dimensions of a classic photo wall are usually 2*2m, or slightly larger, so the frame will be 100% full. And the photo zone itself can be placed both on the street and indoors, if the ceremony and dinner are held in the hall, without the opportunity to go outside.

DIY photozone

Making holiday pieces with your own hands is always a good idea. There are a lot of options on how to make a photo zone yourself. It all depends on your capabilities, abilities and imagination. If you are planning to make a photo zone yourself, then pay attention, first of all, to such ideas:

  • Wall with colorful paper pompoms or pinwheels
  • Paper flowers
  • Paper garlands
  • Ribbons and fabric draperies
  • Decor hung on a real wall: clocks, photo frames, romantic inscriptions

So you can not only make something really stylish, but also save a lot.

Creative photo zones

The most effective and win-win option will be a creative, individual photo zone, thought out in the style of a wedding. In this case, you can not do without decorators. They will be able to create for you even a corner of a real residential building with a cozy fireplace, carpet, floor lamp and armchair. And for someone, a real hayloft is suitable: haystacks, a horse, horseshoes for good luck. For cozy romantic photos, vintage furniture under the canopy of a large tree and chandeliers hanging from the branches are suitable. For especially creative ones, a photo background made of pallets, mesh and metal planters on it.

Interactive photo zone

Such a zone can be huge letters that can be composed in individual words, or the wall where images from the projector are projected. Thus, one part of the guests can take a picture against the background of the raging ocean, and someone will choose a quiet piece of paradise in Hawaii. Interactive photo zone implies a constant change appearance- depending on the imagination and wishes of the guests. You can sail the sea or be behind the wheel of a convertible from the 50s. And most importantly - do not forget to come up with a tag for such photos on Instagram!

Two in one

For practical couples, as well as couples who do not have enough space to accommodate all the zones on the wedding site, there is also an option. The ceremony area smoothly turns ... into a photo zone! An arch, luxurious flower arrangements - all this can be a great backdrop for a photo shoot with guests. Arrange for the chairs to be removed before the photo session, and you and your fiancé can enjoy a full-fledged photo zone for pictures with those you love.

Wedding photo zone: ideas and photos

What is a photo zone, how to arrange it correctly and in an original way and do it yourself, we will tell in this article. Your photos will be unforgettable!

photo zone- a fairly new phenomenon in the field of wedding decor. However, those who have tried it in action will tell you that they would never go back to standard wedding photos again, when random photos of guests on the dance floor or at the tables turn out to be boring, ugly, blurry.

What you need to consider before making a photo zone for a wedding?

Dimensions. Everything is not so simple here. The minimum photo zone should not be less than 2x2 meters in order to look beautiful. However, the size of the room where the wedding will take place does not always allow you to place it comfortably. This is important to consider.

attributes. To make a wedding photo session really original, fun and betray the mood, use a variety of attributes: mustaches, glasses, hats, costumes, lanterns, objects, stickers, balloons, umbrellas, wish boards, masks, comic signs and much more. However, make sure that the fun does not turn into bad taste and the attributes do not go beyond the wedding style.

Season. Photo zones decorated according to the season will look most successful. In winter, these are dry branches, snow and snowflakes, dry plants and cones, candles and lanterns, garlands, red apples. In spring, pay attention to flower arrangements, butterflies, birds, willow branches, fresh and delicate colors, lightness. Summer is a time of bright and rich colors, and against the backdrop of the greenery of nature, landscape plays will look good, for example, a photo zone in the form of a decorated tree or a swing on a tree, hanging ribbons, flower curtains or a curtain of small light bulbs, translucent fabrics fluttering in the wind, etc. .d. In autumn, the decor will look better in brown-gold, burgundy tones and their variants, you can add a samovar, gifts of nature in the form of grapes, apples, pumpkins, autumn flowers.

A wedding is beauty, vivid memories and, of course, love that you want to capture for a lifetime. One of the components of preparing for a wedding is a photo zone for a wedding, ideas for it can be found on the Internet. Preparing for such a wonderful event can cost a lot of time and money. It is especially unusual if a photo zone for a wedding is made with your own hands. This is an opportunity to give guests and yourself the opportunity to take beautiful photos.

Where to start when creating a photo zone

The modern design of a photo zone for a wedding requires a lot of original ideas and approaches. Every bride dreams of making her wedding special and amazing, and what is better for this than an unusual photo zone. Many newlyweds order a photo zone in special studios or from photographers, but you can make decorations with your own hands, and get the idea from this material.

Rules for designing a wedding photo zone

  1. It is necessary to start creating a photo zone in a few days, but the preparation and design of materials can take several months. Therefore, it is necessary take care of all decorations in advance.
  2. Very important choose the right place for the photo zone. The site for the photo zone should be compact, but at the same time have comfortable conditions for photographing. It is best to place the photo zone on the street, but if the venue is a restaurant, then you need to choose a place with good lighting. It should be located away from the aisles and the dance floor so that people do not interfere with each other.
  3. It is necessary to agree in advance with the photographer who will be engaged in the photo zone. If resources permit, then hire a separate photographer to work with the photo zone.
  4. If possible, the photo zone can be arranged in a separate room. In this case, you can build a real photo studio. This is quite costly and requires lengthy preparation, but such the idea will be supplemented by beautiful photographs.

DIY photo zone ideas

Now there are many ideas for decorating a wedding photo zone. Usually the decor is a simple banner with information about the wedding, but even this can be made unusual.

Shabby chic. This is one of the most popular styles for weddings today. Recent fashion trends have taken shabby chic to a high level. A modern wedding and photo zone in the style of shabby chic is decorated in pastel and pinkish shades. Shabby chic combines several styles at once: Victorian, rococo and retro.

When making a photo zone, you can use small tables, ottomans, light chiffon capes. Small decor can be done using small cells, accessories from the "antique shop". Any old records, players, plates and glasses can be a great addition to such a photo zone. When designing a photo zone in a shabby chic style, it is recommended to use a large number of natural or artificial flowers.

rainbow photozone . This photo zone is suitable for a bright and original wedding. Iridescent colors make for vibrant photos even with little decor. You can decorate such a photo zone using multi-colored fabrics, balls, artificial flowers and other paper products. For a rainbow photo zone, it is not necessary to use the colors of the rainbow. Jewelry can be made of pink, light green and even beige shade. The main thing is that they harmoniously combine with each other.

Slate. A popular theme at school proms using a slate board has now “migrated” to wedding photo zones. A slate board is a large banner where each of the guests can leave a wish for the newlyweds or a small drawing. If possible, you can independently draw some funny images and inscriptions on the board. Each guest will be pleased to see in the photographs what his own hand was attached to.

Photo booth. This is a kind of hello from the 80s, which can be an excellent basis for a wedding photo zone. A photo booth can be made in the image of a snapshot camera. This does not require long preparation, but only necessary equipment. A few seconds - and each guest will be able to take their picture with the bride and groom home.

Banner with frames. For a photo zone, it is not necessary to make a lot of decorations and props. An unusual banner will suffice. An interesting banner for a wedding photo zone can be made by hand. To do this, you will need a large sheet of chipboard (about 2 by 2 meters), some beautiful and unusual picture frames (at least A3 format). The frames are placed on the wall in different positions (they can be vertical, horizontal, slightly turned to the side). They can be decorated with different colors, gilded or decorated with flowers, ribbons, etc. A hole must be cut in the interior of the attached frame. Banner with frames is perfect for creating stylized family photos.

Do-it-yourself decorations for the photo zone

Without decorations, the photo zone will look boring. It is not necessary to spend money on them, any decoration can be made with your own hands.

important and required space, which allows you to take original, stylish and funny photos. The trend to equip a place for a wedding photo shoot, like many other interesting and creative ideas, is borrowed from European professionals who never cease to amaze with their skills and finds.

Properly arranging a photo zone is a whole art of creating an attractive space with scenery and props. Therefore, you need to know some rules with which you will be able to equip the corner reserved for photography. To help you, the www.site portal has put together the main points that you need to consider when designing a photo zone.

  • The place for the photo zone should be convenient and comfortable. For these purposes, choose a platform of at least two meters.
  • It should be convenient for you and the photographer to move and move around in the space allotted for the photo session. The photo zone should not block the passages and routes of guests.
  • The style of the photo zone can be arbitrary or tied to the main concept of the wedding.

  • If weather conditions allow, then it is better to organize a photo zone in nature.
  • As a rule, a wedding photographer conducts a photo shoot for the newlyweds. If a photo session of young people and guests does not provide for joint photography in a specific place, then it is worth inviting an additional photographer to photograph guests. In rare cases, guests can be offered the opportunity to conduct a photo session themselves, leaving the camera on the table. Although this is not best idea, which can give rise to chaos and confusion.
  • When setting up a photo zone separately from the banquet room, install a sign that will notify guests about the availability of a special photo space.
  • Foreseeing a photo zone, you should not impose dressing ideas on guests, because everyone came with a certain make-up, hairstyle and in a special style.
  • If the photo session of the newlyweds and guests takes place in different places, then the young people should find time during the festive evening to take pictures with the guests.

Photo zone: professional creativity and amateur creativity

Professionals can help in organizing something special and grandiose. With their assistance, your photo zone or photo booth, as it can also be called, will turn into a fabulous space that will attract all guests.

If you are confident in your abilities, then you can organize a corner for a photo session on your own. Moreover, it does not require significant costs and investments. How to organize a photo zone yourself, you will learn from the Svadbagolik.ru portal.

It's time to figure out how and with what you can arrange a photo zone. You can start from the style of the wedding, either buy party sets, find old and original items, or make your own props.

Creative ideas for decorating a photo zone

Frames and layouts

Frames are considered a popular and simple element for a photo zone. You can buy them at frame shops, make your own or use old unnecessary frames.

The same frames can become an additional decoration if you hang them on ropes. In the place where the frames will hang, you can take pictures.

Very interesting idea for a photo zone - make a movable decorative wall with holes where frames of different sizes and shapes are attached. Next to such walls, you can arrange furniture or other interior items: sofas, floor lamps, chairs, tables, armchairs.

Portable layouts with a comic design are also suitable. These can be figures of the bride and groom, famous people, fictional characters, etc. The main thing is to make a hole for the face in the layouts. Such props will allow guests to happily improvise to the fullest.

Screens and curtains

An excellent backdrop for a wedding photo shoot can be a decorative screen made of tulle, curtains or any other fabric. If there is nothing suitable in the bins, then look into the store, there you will surely find something interesting. Such screens can be installed both indoors and outdoors.

Ribbons

Try to make an original background for a photo shoot from ribbons of different textures. Choose satin, lace, chiffon stripes and create interesting variations. For the background, you can use ribbons of the same color or different colors, ribbons from the same fabric, or you can combine different ribbons.

Garlands and turntables

In the decor of the space for a photo shoot, use garlands. Suitable garlands of paper, fabric, in the form of flags, stars, vertical and horizontal garlands.

Great idea for the background - turntables. This is a fashionable wedding accessory for today, which you can easily make yourself.

tile effect

A wall of small circles or strips of paper looks beautiful and impressive, which partially overlap each other and form a single canvas. This method creates the effect of tiles. In some cases, when using round shiny circles, you can achieve the effect of fish scales.

Vegetation and flowers

An amazing background can be created using flowers, grass, unusual plants. Creating such a background will be more difficult, but it will be much more effective. In the manufacture of a plant background, you can use live and artificial plants. Such a living corner will be especially relevant in a period when there is no opportunity to take pictures in nature.

The photo zone was born along with photography: it is a specially prepared and decorated background against which photographs of participants in solemn events are taken. Instant painters managed and do without it - the background can be finished later at the request of the customer. Artistic photography is considered a form of art much simpler than painting, but there is a very difficult nuance in it: you can no longer slap a missed moment on a light receiver (film, digital camera matrix). Make a collage in Photoshop or other photo editor? To make it natural, you need to coordinate lighting, perspective and many other subtleties such that it is easier to draw a scene with your hands, looking at the picture that turned out, as if it were a sketch.

Light, decor and mood

The photo zone for the holiday can be decorated in a variety of ways in any style, both at home and in the open air - there are no generally accepted, let alone established canons, as long as the pictures are interesting and memorable. But there are more than just technical circumstances that need to be taken into account when organizing a photo zone. The first is light. It can be difficult for an experienced photographer who takes a couple of trunks with equipment on a challenge to set the light at the shooting location at least so that the sharp shadows from the noses do not spoil the picture. There is no need to talk about guests simply “clicking” (sorry, “taking pictures” - there are no mechanical shutters in a wide range of photography for a long time) on devices / gadgets. A properly arranged photo zone should soften anyone, incl. changing during the festival, the light so that a more or less decent picture is obtained offhand from any “digital soapbox”. But there is not enough light for this, the photo zone should create a mood in itself: so that, against its background, a puffed up capricious child looked like a cute prankster, and a big uncle who took on his chest “to the color of a pig's snout” - a shirt-guy tipsy. Here's how to make such a photo zone with your own hands, and this material will be. On the condition that, even in urban conditions, its manufacture takes less time and money than searching for and renting a suitable finished one.

Ways to organize

Let's carefully examine the venue of the future festival and decide how best to arrange the photo zone:

  • Naturally without a backdrop, lighting fixtures (see below) and additional decor - ideal if local conditions and seasons allow; see fig. right, etc. fragment on the lower right in Fig. higher. Which, alas, does not always work out.

  • With a soft frameless back - if the environment allows you to soften the task lighting when taking pictures, incl. from the flash "in the forehead." Opportunities for this can be presented both at home and outdoors.
  • With a reflective (scattering) backdrop on the frame - if, when examining the place of the photo zone, future difficulties in setting the light are immediately noticeable. The design of a photo zone with a framed back is somewhat more complicated and more expensive than a frameless one, but it allows you to satisfactorily set the light to a complete amateur "by eye" in almost any conditions.

Tantamaresques and arches

As an addition to any photo zone, a small frame backdrop in the form of a so-called. tantamaresque - backdrop for photographing with slits for faces and/or torsos or (rarely) full-length figures, see fig.:

The tantamaresque is also a purely photographic invention; older people who attended popular resorts, the photophones of that time are memorable with plots sometimes truly amazing in their improbability and the art of embodiment. To shoot a mustachioed thug in the form of a mermaid with a bust number 8 in the arms of a muscular pirate with a ferocious mug is still trivial.

But the very idea of the tantamareski is by no means trivial: the frame highlights the object (for example, a face) against the background, without cutting it off completely. A variation of the tantamareski - the usual baguette frame for a picture, which (s) are hung in a suitable place or simply allowed to be photographed - somewhat exaggerates the background. This is justified if it is pleasant and good in light, but somewhat monotonous, for example. foliage in orchard, see fig.:

“Mobile photo zone” from baguette frames

The tantamareska-frame is all the more appropriate if the guests used a certain amount of fun before photographing. They have already exaggerated themselves, and the frames will fit them into a naturally serene (and sober) background.

Note: real baguette frames are quite expensive, heavy, and their back side stains hands and clothes. For a "mobile photo zone" it is better to buy cheap foam frames and paint them with bronze oil paint a day or three before the ceremony.

The ceremonial arch is an adornment not only for a wedding, but for any celebration. The arch at the festival itself can serve as a photo zone. Joker kits (see also below) for assembling holiday arches are rented, but not cheap, and there may simply not be “jokers” in the outback. At the same time, it is easy to make a ceremonial arch with your own hands from available materials - after all, it is not an entrance or a walkway in a house or a garden one.

If you are more accustomed to working on wood, the arch for the photo zone can be made like a covered garden pergola. Its front and rear (conditionally) parts are the same; they are made according to the drawing in pos. 1 fig. There are only 3 standard sizes of parts in the kit: A and B are cut from scraps of boards (16-40) x150, and the crossbars C connecting them are made of D40 round timber (a holder for a shovel or mop. You can use a 40x40 rail; then the crossbars are placed at the joints of parts A ( at the ends of A, half-nests 40x20 are cut out), and everything is connected together with steel corners. With an arch depth of more than 500 mm, thrust bearings or holes are not required to install it on the ground or floor in the room.

making a ceremonial arch

The frame of a simple (not voluminous) ceremonial arch of any shape can be bent very quickly and simply without a pipe bender from a metal-plastic water pipe. Such arches (pos. 2) are rented at a minimum price. If the arch is self-made and intended for installation in the open air, its legs can simply be dug or stuck into the ground. For indoor installation, the legs are inserted into plank or plywood crosses (inset at pos. 2 and see below).

The decorative possibilities of an arch on a simple frame are limited, therefore volumetric arched frames, pos. 3. The basis of this can also be bent from 3-6 branches of the same metal-plastic pipes. Their ends for installation indoors (of course, on the ground too) are inserted into holes drilled in wooden blocks, and after leveling the base of the frame, they are fixed with liquid nails or other nitro-glue on wood.

The next operation is tying the branches of the frame for rigidity with a knitting wire D (1.5 - 2) mm. The strapping tiers are knitted with a turn of the pipes with a knitting wire at each intersection; the contour, rounded in a section, is formed by bending the wire outward (insert at pos. 3). For greater rigidity of the frame, it will be useful to knit with oblique transitions between tiers. In conclusion, the binding is painted with white paint, and the wooden heels of the outer arch are covered with turf, carpet, etc. Simple, but skillfully decorated, such a home-made arch in appearance will not yield to the coolest “joker”, pos. 4.

Backless

Photozones without a specially made backdrop are arranged in cases where the environment itself softens the light, or natural light is soft enough. The first is a room with a whitewashed ceiling and light, preferably also whitewashed walls. The second is shooting in clear, transparent open air in spring or early autumn. Natural light then is still harsh, but flash illumination (see below) in this case brightens the shadows well, because. flash light characteristics are similar to natural light.

The easiest way to organize a photo zone in a bright, generally white room is new curtains for the holiday, pos. 1 in the figure:

To obtain soft working lighting, taking into account shooting without fail with a flash, the window behind the curtains should face east, south or southeast, and the curtains themselves should be:

  1. translucent;
  2. general tone close to white, slightly yellowish;
  3. curtain pattern - large, rare, warm desaturated tones.

If the room is decorated in a light and warm tone, but not white, then at a distance of 0.7-1.5 m from the wall it must be partitioned off with drapes made of white translucent fabric, pos. 2. Flash illumination should then be given without reflection from the ceiling, see below.

For an outdoor photo zone under a canopy of trees in ordinary flat places of middle latitudes, the best soft backdrop is made of white ribbons 10-15 cm wide, pos. 3. The glare from the light breaking through the foliage does not need to be completely suppressed, they work for the overall effect. But too bright and sharp highlights can unacceptably dazzle the picture, and this is where the tape photo zone will work: the fabric will act as a diffuser and diffuse reflector, and edge diffraction on ribbons swaying in the wind will blur the sharp boundaries of lights and shadows.

A similar solution is used when shooting in a room with a fragmented color tone, for example. decorated to look like brick or wild stone. In this case, tapes are taken that are contrasting in color, but not in brightness, and approx. equal color saturation with the decoration of the room: if it is warm, then coldish (pos. 4), and vice versa. This solution avoids very unpleasant visually "dirty" tinted shadows. For more on the features of organizing a photo zone against a brick wall, see the plot:

Video: photo zone - imitation of a brick wall

Note: dark phantom hearts on pos. 4 - the result of light absorption during multiple reflections. This unpleasant effect is especially pronounced when shooting with a flash. The measure of its correction is the simplest - to stick mugs of white or colored paper on the cores.

The case opposite in color is a photo zone in the open air in the mountains or an ecologically clean seaside. Natural light is sharp, the maximum of its brightness is shifted to the blue side. Shadows need to be illuminated, but the flash light is, to put it mildly, neither soft nor lukewarm. In this case, the backdrop is also made in ribbon, but in warm tones and more saturated (approx. 65%), pos. 5.

Another special case is an indoor photo zone with white painted walls and a glossy floor. Even if you shoot without a flash, with special illuminators, the polarized component will be strong in the reflected light, giving a lot of unpleasant effects. "Polarik" (polarization light filter" will not help much here, without bright background sunlight, it will make the picture dull and flat. The way out is to hang rare garlands of artificial flowers of an even more saturated warm tone, item 6. Diffuse re-reflection and edge reflection enhanced compared to tapes diffraction will soften and warm task lighting.

The role of additional decor

The additional decor of the photo zone plays a significant role in its lighting technology. Dark gaps in forfeits in pos. 4 fig. the example above is negative, but a much greater positive effect is possible from the decorations of the photo zone.

To decorate the photo zone, decorative fans (fants), artificial flowers, garlands, swags, backstage, lambrequins and other elements of decorative curtains are most often used. For the same purpose, homemade Christmas tree decorations, for example, can be used quite successfully. paper balls. It is convenient to decorate with phantoms a ready-made background that is already suitable as a backdrop, on the left in the figure:

Paper flowers can completely cover the most inappropriate background, and also use them when enhanced scattering of direct and / or reflected light is required, see above. Garlands of neutral tones are suitable as a background for a photo zone in cases where colored decorations are out of place, for example, in a church, on the right in fig. Designers of religious buildings are well versed in lighting technology, and if photography is allowed there, then most often you can shoot with a flash “right in the forehead”, without fear of hopelessly ruining the picture. More about general principles photo zone decorations see video:

About colors for the photo zone

Making artificial flowers is a series of separate big topics. For the photo zone, it is desirable to choose those whose core, when directly illuminated by hard, rather coherent and polarized flash light, does not give a dark dip in the image. Visually, it may be imperceptible, but after all, there is no lens that sees like an eye, and is not foreseen.

Of paper flowers, peonies and roses are best suited for decorating a photo zone, see fig.:

The first - especially since they are simply obtained from phantoms. Let's put it this way: first we decorate the photo zone only with phantoms. We take a test shot, examine, analyze, and according to the results of the analysis, we remake some of the forfeits into peonies. For making artificial flowers with your own hands, see a selection of videos:

Video: homemade flowers for the photo zone

and about mounting large flowers on the background of the photo zone:

Video: installation of a photo zone from paper flowers

Background separately

All remarks regarding lighting technology and decorative design of the photo zone are valid for it with a movable hard back. But the possibilities of a photo zone with a separate backdrop are much wider, if only because it can be optimally positioned relative to the available lighting. Not to mention the fact that quite heavy volumetric decor can be hung on such a backdrop and something else, see below. Therefore, even if you have every opportunity to organize a photo zone with improvised means, the option of at least a small additional one with a separate backdrop should be considered, if only there is enough time in the pre-holiday chores.

A hard solid backdrop made of wood or plywood is good because guests who have been spree will not just knock it over or break it, and you can decorate it with anything, even with buckets of water. But as for the light, tricks with ribbons and garlands do not work here. This is partly compensated by the possibility of optimally setting the background itself, but shooting in backlighting (behind) lighting is excluded. For outdoor installation, the jibs of a rigid back are dug into the ground or fixed with L-shaped bent fittings (item 1 in the figure); for installation indoors or on a paved area, you need to make a paw-heel, pos. 2.

The most widespread in all respects are advantageous frame backs for the photo zone; for them, “Joker” sets are produced and sold, pos. 3. The background canvas on Jokers is fastened with a cord through the grommets. To home-made structures on steel tubular (pos. 4) or wooden paws (pos. 5), the panel is pinned at the back with a furniture stapler or pushpins. In that other case, the protrusion of the legs forward is at least 1/8 of the height of the frame; back twice as much. Structural material - timber from 50x75; assembly on steel angles or carpentry joints. The permissible width of one section without intermediate supports is 1.5 m when assembled on corners from pine timber and up to 3 m from oak in a carpentry way.

Paws for the frame

The most time-consuming parts of the photozone backdrop frame design are the paws. If the frame (or the frame of a wooden rectangular arch) is placed on the ground, instead of them, you can use "pyataks" ranging in size from 450x450 from plywood with a thickness of 12 mm or more, pos. And in fig .. In this case, a beam from 100x100 is needed for the frame. The thrust bearings are attached to the ends of the legs with 5 self-tapping screws (4.2-6) x (120-150) with an envelope. The thrust bearings themselves are pinned to the ground with L-shaped reinforcements, one per corner, and covered with turf or decor.

In other cases, universal support crosses (pos. B) can be made from boards with a thickness of 40 mm or more. They will then come in handy for the Christmas tree, building scaffolds, etc. The legs of the frame are not fastened in the cross with steel: it is assembled on pairs of self-tapping screws through the faces into the ends of the boards. The legs of the frame are inserted into the sockets and wedged with wooden wedges - it will be quite reliable.

A special case

It also happens that, according to the general desire, the whole feast in the open air becomes a photo zone. In this case, the backdrop for her needs a large, especially durable and stable. He will also fence off the feasting from prying eyes.

Drawings of the frame of a solid screen welded from pipes - the back of the photo zone are given in the figure:

Screen frame drawing - a large, durable backdrop for a photo zone

Fastening of the background panel - with a cord through the holes in the frame. An option for not particularly violent fun - the edges of the panel are tucked up and tucked in with thread No. 10 or harsh. At the table in front of such a screen (building sections in length is possible) there will be 20 people. And the photographer (or the operator with a video camera) knows himself taking pictures - he has also seen something else at work.

Screen and light

A photo zone in the form of a folding screen (see Fig.) is suitable not only and not so much to cover up indecent revelry. Its decisive advantage is the ability to deliver good light in almost all shooting conditions. due to the different lapel of the wings. As a result, the photo zone - a folding screen is picky about the decor. In terms of color and brightness, it can be virtually anything, because. it almost does not affect the lighting technology of the resulting filming cabin.

Examples of the most common cases of staging light using a photo zone - a folding screen are shown on the next page. rice.:

On the left - shooting with a high-standing bright Sun in an "industrial" slightly dusty sky. The grid - the cover of the filming cabin not only softens the light, but due to edge diffraction on the threads, it “knocks down” its polarization, which is quite significant under such conditions. In the center - shooting on a partial backlight at a low standing of the Sun. On the right - a photo zone at home and shooting "puff in the forehead" indoors on a phone or tablet. In all cases, the cabin height is 2.2-2.4 m; the width of the central section is 1.5-2 m, the side sections are 1.2-1.5 m.

Photozone sheathing

There are several options for sheathing the back of the photo zone with your own hands:

  • A pure white (not shiny!) translucent canvas is ideal in terms of lighting technology, weight and size and ease of use. Cons - if an awkward guest knocks over the backdrop (the holiday is the same), the cloth can tear or get dirty so that you can’t do without washing, and you can’t attach heavy decor. Another minus is that the slots for the frames are laborious, although if the frames are foam plastic, they are quite doable.
  • Plywood, fiberboard or chipboard, painted white (see below) is a durable, but rather expensive and labor-intensive material. Withstands any decor, openings for tantamareski can be frameless. The backcloth can be larger than the frame and have a complex shape. Lighting qualities are limited: backlight shooting is impossible, the back and wings can only work for reflection, but not for transmission.
  • Packaging corrugated cardboard, painted in the same way - cheap or completely waste material, is very easy to process. The disadvantages are the same as those of sheet materials from before. n. In addition, it is fragile, the openings of the tantamaresque must be framed with light frames, and the traces of bends should be covered with decor.
  • Roll paper and wallpaper on the reverse side are only suitable for a small children's photo zone at home, and then if there are unnecessary ones.
  • Expanded polystyrene (preferably not granular foam, but extruded XPS) - produced in sheets with a thickness of 4 mm or more. It is very light, lighting performance is almost equivalent to a woven fabric, but quite expensive and fragile, easily dusty. Suitable in 2 cases: for a light and non-irritating tantamaresque, additional to the main photo zone (pos. A) in fig. lower, or if you need to quickly install a backdrop of a complex shape and / or a larger size than it, pos. B. Expanded polystyrene, as you know, is easily cut with just a knife and glued with PVA.

How to paint the back?

The hard backdrop of the photo zone must be painted with water-dispersed (water-based) paint for ceilings and walls. Any other, incl. Acrylic bath enamels do not sufficiently scatter reflected light and in most cases increase its coherence and polarization. The one and the other, and the third gives glare, dips in brightness and dirty, undeveloped shadows in the picture.

Implementation examples

So, we will assume that the boring, but necessary technical details of the photo zone device are over and you can do things that are more pleasant and not so laborious - decorating the photo zone for various occasions. The most common of them are birthdays and weddings. Birthdays are generally more diverse than weddings in nature, so we'll leave them for last.

Photo zone for the wedding

A wedding is an extraordinary and irregular event, they do not skimp on the costs, so a wedding photo zone is most often made to order. However, a do-it-yourself photozone for a wedding is also not uncommon, especially in places where it is difficult for a good decorator to get to or the owners of his services cannot afford.

All the design features of the photo zone described above are also valid for a wedding. But in terms of lighting technology, a photo zone for a wedding is somewhat simpler than others: the wedding color is white, and the optimal color scheme in terms of lighting technology is also as much white as possible. In principle, a wedding photo zone can be realized in the dream of any photographer - with shadowless or almost shadowless lighting, see for example. video:

Video: wedding photo zone

Note: just in case - a bearded anecdote; perhaps not very appropriate. “Mom, why is the bride always dressed in white for a wedding?” “Because, my daughter, White color it’s the color of joy” – “Ah, well, now I understand why the groom is always in black!”

But there are pitfalls in the design of the wedding photo zone. One of them, common to all photozones in general, we will consider at the end. Second - still do not whiten the area too much. Too much joy is already boring, and a wedding is still not a thing in a box for photographing objects. ABOUT unforgivable mistake when preparing a photo zone for a wedding, see also the video:

For birthdays

A birthday photo zone is more complicated than a wedding photo zone. First of all, in terms of lighting technology: the brighter, more colorful and diverse its decor, the more fun the holiday will be; after all, the bride and groom are unlikely to be very interested in the decorations of the festival. But the more difficult it is for the decorator and the photographer/cameraman: it is harder to put on the light and/or shoot while there is one.

Numbers for the anniversary

One of the ways to fix things is the so-called. blockhead; volume non-directional or weakly directional diffuse reflector or light absorber. In studios, material decor is used for this: vases, big bouquets, cabinets, columns, etc. But there is a kind of light blockhead, which itself asks for anyone’s birthday - these are voluminous numbers showing new age culprit / hero of the occasion.

Examples of volume figures for the age for the birthday are shown in the figure:

In practice, when setting up the light, they are used as follows: they take a test shot of an already designed scene with extras, but without numbers. They look at where to highlight with reflected white or slightly colored, where to muffle a too bright spot, and based on the results they decide what size, color tone and brightness the numerals should be and where to put them. Technically, birthday figures are usually made of polystyrene foam decorated with paper flowers (which is also true for lighting), see video:

From year old to boy

A photo zone for the anniversary of a big uncle or aunt is a matter of their taste. They either know what they want and how to do it, or find funds to pay for decorators who will equip the area so that everyone likes it, and the photographer / cameraman does not have to work hard. But the children's photo zone is a completely different matter. Here, one cannot do without the active participation of parents: the child’s psyche from the beginning of understanding the world and himself in it (1-3 years) up to the age of full maturity (16-25 years) has not yet developed, the tastes have not yet settled down. Here you need to carefully approach the choice of the general design style of the photo zone, not forgetting about its technical features, see above.

wigwam

The universal photo zone for the birthday of a child of younger ages is his playhouse. If he doesn’t have one yet, but it takes a long time or is impossible to build (for example, in a small apartment), he will be completely replaced by a play tent (hut).

The wigwam is especially convenient in this regard. You can make it with your own hands at home in just 1-2 hours, the kids always like it. It is enough to add some festive decor (see the picture) and, possibly, replace the skin with a new one (if you already have a wigwam) - the photo zone is ready. Give only the opportunity to the hero of the occasion to play pranks to their heart's content (but within reason), and he, very likely, will laugh at these pictures already being a grandfather himself.

The smallest

A photo zone for a year old is usually advised for a child to arrange in the form of a kind of nest. However, the baby (ka), although perhaps still a baby, is already beginning to learn about the world and look at things consciously. A one-year-old child is not yet capable of understanding what is done in what style, but the features of his visual perception must be taken into account.

A one-year-old child is still bad at distinguishing small details. Cold colors seem dull or completely gray to him, and sharp color and / or brightness contrasts cut the eyes and frighten. Therefore, you need to design a photo zone for photographing a one-year-old child like the one on the left in the figure: in warm soft colors. In the very sight, you need to place a rounded large decor (helium balloons and a high chair in this case), and a smaller one “for the picture”, move yourself and guests to the upper corner: what is there, the baby will not consider. If a small decor is necessary for technical reasons (see above; in this case it is a number), then it must be done very small so that it merges into a solid pleasant background for the child.

The photo zone in the center in Fig. - the decision is dubious in color: a child in it can get bored and even capricious, throwing the whole holiday down the drain. Well, in the photo zone, which is on the right in the figure, most likely they will just get scared. For more information on self-designing a photo zone for a year old child, see the video:

Little lady...

That any little girl is a princess, even when she sits on the potty and pushes - common place. There are countless examples of designing a girl's photo zone in an aristocratic heraldic style. A good universal solution, but in the mass consciousness it has already become boring, like everything else, which is too much.

Another universal solution for decorating a photo zone for a girl's birthday younger age– candy bar, see fig.:

Literally, candy bar is a cafe-confectionery, where you can immediately devour the acquired sweets and drink something tasty too. Therefore, the basis of the photo zone - the candy bar is a sweet table that guarantees good mood birthday girls and expressive pictures. The rest of the design rules are common for children's photo zones: soft warm colors, fairly large rounded decor. If you need to cover an unsightly background (for example, a wall) with small decor, its details must be arranged in some order so that the child has the impression of a larger pattern (to the right of the center in the figure).

Photo zones for the birthday of older girls should be organized taking into account their interests of a creative nature (favorite book, artist, for example) and, if possible, using educational and developmental moments. If, for example, the birthday girl is completely indifferent to literature, then once in the photo zone on the left in the figure, she may be interested: what wonderland am I in? Well, Alice was there, and your name is similar. Where is this wonderland? Well, here, if you want, read.

The photo zone on the right in Fig. designed for a more developed girl. Which is able to think for itself: how is the poodle Artemon from the book about Pinocchio tied into eiffel tower? And gradually discover the depths of which I had not previously suspected. Of course, if they are accessible and understandable to parents.

…and gentlemen

As for the boyish photo zones, no less than the carriages and crowns in the girls' ones, pirate "bells and whistles" and the like have become boring. Especially if the child is thoughtful, contemplative, and cutting with a saber from the shoulder does not give him pleasure.

A universal solution for a photo zone for a boy's birthday approx. from 3-5 years also exists, and it is much more effective for its development than the robber-military. This is a photo zone in the style of The Great Gatsby Party, see fig. Her colors are black and gold. Contours - clear, sharp or, for the youngest, rounded. Drawn fragments in pinup style (pin up). A sweet table is by no means forbidden. Instead of a name literary hero Scott Fitzgerald, of course, the name of the hero of the occasion on mother tongue- in Cyrillic, in Arabic, even in hieroglyphs.

Photozone The Great Gatsby has a strong suggestive (subconscious) effect on boys of any temperament, up to the most abstract dreamers. It encourages you to set yourself a life goal (not necessarily material and / or financial) and achieve it. And then the photographs against its background will remind you of what has already been done and what remains to be done. For the design of the "Reception at the Great Gatsby" photo zone, see the video:

Note: if a society of his friends and girlfriends gathers for a child’s birthday, it’s better to decorate his photo zone, as for a children’s holiday, see next. video:

In conclusion about the error

Now let's remember what was promised: what is the main mistake of organizing any photo zone?
