Salad “Pleasure”: classic recipe

The dish is called a classic solely because its recipe is the most commonly used. Take half a kilogram of chicken fillet, cook until fully cooked and cut into small cubes. When cooking, it is advisable to season the broth with spices to give the meat a brighter taste. An equal amount of champignons is also boiled and crumbled in proportion to the meat. About five medium-sized pickled cucumbers are cut in the same way. If the seeds are large and the skin is rough, get rid of them first. A hefty bunch of green onions is chopped, everything is mixed and flavored with mayonnaise. For greater beauty, when serving for a holiday, the main components are laid out in layers, coated and sprinkled with onions.

The most famous improvements

Everyone has their own taste preferences, and in order for the “Pleasure” salad to live up to its title, housewives adapt it to suit family preferences. Most often, pickled cucumbers are replaced with pickled ones - this is suitable for those who disapprove of vinegar. You can experiment with champignons: take fried or pickled ones. The approach to chicken often changes: many prefer smoked breast.

  2. Three coarsely grated hard-boiled eggs.
  3. A couple of spoons of not too spicy Korean carrots.
  4. Canned peaches cut into thin strips. It is recommended to take two halves, but here you will have to be guided by your own taste: many people take more.
  5. The remaining chicken is about the same amount that went into the first layer.
  6. Grated hard cheese, Russian type, approximately 100 grams.

Quite a rare recipe. And quite unusual for our people. At the same time, those who prepared it believe that only this salad is worthy of being called a pleasure. The most difficult thing about it is refueling. For the sauce, one hundred grams of good raisins are poured for an hour with an equal volume of cognac and a tablespoon of heated water. Then the dried fruit is strained, and the cognac is mixed with a tablespoon of mustard, ground until smooth with a spoon of vinegar (preferably wine), two - olive oil, curry, pepper and salt (seasonings - to your taste). The dish is lined with lettuce leaves, the same amount is cut into strips and mixed with cubes of half a kilogram of boiled breast and two avocados. The mixture is spread over the leaves, sprinkled with raisins soaked in cognac and chopped almonds (half a glass). Dressing with the prepared sauce - and the “Pleasure” salad is given to aesthetes to try. Naturally, the dish is intended exclusively for consumption by adults.

Crab version

Note that the “Pleasure” salad does not have to be prepared with chicken. There are recipes in which pork “sounds” tastier. This dish is for seafood lovers. For the salad, use a 200-gram package of crab meat. In a pinch, sticks will do, but it’s still better to be generous with a natural product. The meat is separated, if necessary, large parts are cut. Five eggs are boiled; For this dish, it is important not to crumble them, as we are used to, but to cut them into large slices - one egg per 6-8 slices. A large tomato is prepared in the same way. Garlic is grated or finely chopped (pressing with a press is not recommended). All ingredients are combined and the salad is topped with light mayonnaise. Dinner is served!

We take fresh chicken fillet, rinse it thoroughly under cold running water, dry it with paper kitchen towels, place it on a cutting board, remove film and cartilage, cut it into 2-4 pieces and put them in a deep pan. Next, fill the meat with purified water, so that it is 5–7 centimeters above its level, and put it on high heat. After boiling, reduce its level to medium. Remove the gray-white foam from the surface of the bubbling liquid - coagulated protein, add salt, bay leaf, and black peppercorns to the pan to taste and cook the fillet under the lid for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked. Then, using a dinner fork, transfer it to a clean plate and cool the poultry pieces to room temperature.

Then place the chicken eggs in a small saucepan. Pour in cold water so that it completely covers the product and is 3-4 centimeters above its level. Add a couple of tablespoons of salt and 9% vinegar to it and after boiling, cook hard-boiled eggs for 10-11 minutes over medium heat. When ready, use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a bowl of ice water and let them cool completely.

Meanwhile, peel the onions and cut off the roots of each mushroom. Then we wash the vegetables, dry them, place them one by one on a cutting board and chop them. We cut the onion into small cubes up to 1 centimeter in size or into quarters or half rings up to 4-5 millimeters thick. We cut the mushrooms into layers 5 millimeters thick and immediately proceed to the next step.

Place a frying pan over medium heat and pour vegetable oil into it. After a few minutes, put the onions in there and fry them for 2-3 minutes until soft and lightly golden brown. Then add mushrooms to it, season everything to taste with salt, thoroughly mix the products with a wooden kitchen spatula and cook them together for 13-15 minutes until the vegetables are browned. After this, remove the pan from the stove and cool its contents to room temperature.

After some time, we peel the eggs, wash them, dry them, separate the yolks from the whites and distribute them into separate bowls. We chop the snow-white part on a fine or medium grater, and mash the yellow part into crumbs with a table fork.

Place the cooled chicken on a clean cutting board, use a new kitchen knife to cut it into small 1-centimeter cubes and place them in a clean bowl. We cut off the paraffin crust from the cheese and also grind it on a grater.

Now visually divide all the products except the yolks into 2 equal parts and lay them out in layers in a salad bowl, greasing each with mayonnaise. First, 1/2 of the chicken fillet. Then mushrooms fried with onions. Next comes the protein and some cheese. After this, we repeat everything and sprinkle the formed salad with mashed yolks. Next, we cover the salad bowl with plastic cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours so that the dish is soaked.

The taste of this salad is simply incomparable - the “Women's Delight” salad is incredibly tender and light. It contains a lot of vegetables, which is a huge benefit for our body. And you will spend a minimum of time and financial costs on preparation. See for yourself!

  3. Wash the carrots well and boil. Peel the boiled carrots and grate them on a coarse grater.

  5. Cut the onion into half rings and marinate in a vinegar solution for 30 minutes. To do this, dilute the vinegar with water one to one. Then rinse with cold running water.
