Walnut Cookie Recipe:

  1. The dough for nut cookies is very easy to prepare! First, grind the hazelnuts and almonds into flour. The uniformity of our cookies depends on how finely the nuts are ground. So of course I do it in a coffee grinder.

  2. Add powdered sugar and cinnamon to the nuts. Mix everything one more time.

  3. Using the finest grater, grate the top part of the skin of one orange. It turns out about 1 heaped tablespoon of zest.

  4. In a separate container, mix water and lemon juice. Add liquid and zest to the nut-sugar mixture and knead the dough for our cookies. The dough will stick to your hands a little - this is normal.

  5. And so we turn into a wizard and begin to create and shape cookies. The dough sticks a little to your hands and to the rolling pin, but that's not a problem! It is very convenient to roll out a layer of dough directly on a silicone baking mat, form cookies on it and not remove them from there, but bake them immediately, transferring the mat to a baking sheet.

    First of all, sprinkle the work surface with a small amount of flour. Roll out a layer of dough the size of our mat. Adjust the thickness of the dough yourself - nut cookies will turn out delicious in any case.

    To make rolling easier, it is better to grease the rolling pin with vegetable oil and then the dough will not stick to it. We cut out cookies of any shape, I made stars.

  6. Carefully remove the remaining dough between the cookies. It’s not for nothing that they say that “leftovers are sweet”; usually part of the dough doesn’t survive until baking and is eaten just like that - it’s also very tasty.

  7. Now you need to let the liver rest and dry for about 4 hours at room temperature. When the cookies are dry, they can be moved much more easily by lifting them with a spatula and without breaking their shape.

    Place the cookies on the empty spaces on the mat. You can lay them quite tightly, maintaining a minimum distance so that the stars simply do not touch each other. Walnut cookies do not increase in size when baked.

  8. We bake the cookies for a very short time, about 3-5 minutes in a preheated oven at 250 degrees. There should be such a blush and a slight crust, but when hot it will seem soft. After cooling, the cookies will harden, so do not hold them for more than 3-5 minutes, otherwise you will end up with Christmas crackers. I got about 50 stars.

  9. While our nut cookies are cooling, let's make the frosting. Mix powdered sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice (or water) in one container. I indicate the amount of ingredients for the glaze based on approximately 50 stars. If you rolled out the layer thicker and you got fewer pieces, then accordingly you will need less glaze.

    At first glance, it seems that there is a lot of cinnamon - both in the dough, and even in the glaze itself. But believe me, in combination with the sweetness of the powder and the sourness of lemon, it doesn’t feel too much. And if you love the taste and aroma of cloves, you can add a small pinch of ground cloves to the glaze. Just a little is better, otherwise its rich taste will overwhelm all the other ingredients.

  10. Apply the glaze to the cooled cookies and let it set well and harden.

To prepare you need:

A quick and healthy treat. Very tasty in combination with milk.

Compound:

  • oatmeal (tender flakes) - 2 cups (250 ml);

  • butter (peasant) - 100 g;

  • eggs category C1 - 2 pcs.;
  • sugar or powder - 150 g;
  • sour cream (fat) - 1 tbsp. spoon.

  2. Add butter, sugar, honey and sour cream. Mix and keep on fire for about 3 minutes, stirring continuously.
