The procedure for maintaining documentation for the operator of the equipment of distribution tank farms. Distribution tank farm equipment operator trained throughout Russia. Distribution tank farm equipment operator

An oil depot is an industrial facility where oil and oil products are stored. As a rule, these are tanks that are on the ground or underground and a platform for unloading oil products to transport or an oil pipeline.

An oil depot is a place of increased danger, so the choice of equipment for an oil depot is a very important issue.

The main equipment for tank farms and gas stations

Each oil depot or gas station, in accordance with the technical requirements, has a similar device:

  • site with ground or underground storage tanks for oil products;

  • pipeline communications for the reception and shipment of petroleum products;

  • installations for draining and loading oil products, as well as pumps for pumping.

Each section of the oil depot or gas station uses a large number of equipment designed for uninterrupted and safe operation.

Tank equipment is designed for storage and quality control of petroleum products. These are breathing valves, receiving valves, samplers, drain devices.

Ball valves, gate valves, valves, sleeves are necessary in pipeline communications for supplying and receiving oil products.

Equipment for draining and loading oil products is required for the transfer of liquids from one container to another. These are bottom and top discharge units, loading risers, liquid dispensers, pumps for petroleum products, fuel dispensers.

Distribution equipment for tank farms

According to their functional purpose, tank farms are divided into four types:

  1. Transshipment. At these oil depots, oil products are reloaded from one mode of transport to another.

  2. Distribution. Oil products are stored at distribution tank farms for a short time and are intended for supplying consumers (gas stations).

  3. Transshipment and distribution combine the functions of transshipment and distribution tank farms.

  4. Storage bases. Oil products are received and stored at storage bases.

A gas station is a complex consisting of many high-tech devices, each of which performs certain functions in the operation of a gas station.

The main equipment used in the work of gas stations:

  • fuel dispensers (oil-dispensing, gas-filling);

  • pumps (for fuel oil, oil, fuel, pumping contaminated liquids);

  • measuring instruments (hydrometers, gas analyzers, octane meters, samplers, gasoline vapor sensors);

  • meters (fuel, oil, liquid meters, turbine meters, rotary meters);

  • filters and other cleaning equipment.

The technical condition of the distribution equipment of oil depots is monitored by a machinist-technician.

Distribution tank farm equipment operator

The equipment operator is obliged to know the structure of the serviced equipment, the rules of technical operation, the process of receiving, storing and dispensing petroleum products. The employee must monitor the technical condition (detect by ear the incorrect operation of the equipment) and service the devices (clean, lubricate).

The duties of the driver depend on the category that he has been assigned.

The category that is assigned to the driver, depending on the annual volume of sales of petroleum products:

  • 3rd category - up to 1 thousand tons;

  • 4th category - from 1 to 20 thousand tons;

  • 5th category - from 20 to 100 thousand tons;

  • 6th category - from 100 to 130 thousand tons;

  • 7th category - over 130 thousand tons.

Electrician for the repair of equipment for oil depots

The electrician identifies and eliminates defects during the operation of the equipment. His responsibilities include dismantling, repairing, assembling and testing control systems for oil distribution depots and automation systems for pumping stations.

Depending on the assigned category, he controls the work of electricians of lower qualification.

The electrician is obliged to know the design features, electrical circuits of the equipment, the permissible loads on the components and mechanisms, and preventive measures to prevent breakdowns and accidents.

Equipment for tank farms at the exhibition

Equipment for tank farms is constantly being improved. All the novelties of modern equipment can be found at the Neftegaz exhibition, which is held by the Expocentre Fairgrounds.

The exhibition is attended by companies offering pumping stations, modernized drain and pumping units, electronic sealing systems, measuring systems and other equipment necessary for the operation of tank farms.

During work exhibitions "Neftegaz" participants demonstrate new projects of gas stations, oil depots and oil storage facilities. Also at the exhibition you can learn more about the main and distribution equipment for tank farms.
